Informal Wedding Photography – The Peasant Pub

Hannah and Wen

As an informal wedding photographer, being part of a couple’s wedding day often feels like the best job in the world.  Of course, I’m happy that they’ve chosen me to document one of the biggest and most important days of their lives, but I also get a warm feeling inside as I’m swept away by the wave of emotions and goodwill.  All those smiles, laughter, banter and heartfelt toasts to the happy couple.  That’s the thing you see:  I can’t photograph weddings purely as an observer.  I’m not just there physically but emotionally too – just like your guests.  I mingle, chatter and weave myself into the fabric of your day because I want to give you pictures that make you feel…how can I do that if I was a disconnected observer?

Hannah and Wen’s wedding was a truly international affair with family and friends flying in from Australia, Malaysia, the USA and even Manchester!  They got married at The Museum of the Order of St John and celebrated into the warm London night at The Peasant pub in Clerkenwell (a big shout out for the outstanding food and hospitality).  As you can see in the photos – it got too warm for some!
