Ethos, approach and the way I work.

—I won’t tell you what to do

because real moments can’t be recreated.  They’re spontaneous, fragile, and dissapear in a blink of an eye or a photographer’s flash.  Being unobtrusive means I quietly observe, allowing those moments to flourish to give you images of the most precious moments that you remember, and those that you missed.

“…life is very fluid; sometimes the pictures disappear, and there’s nothing you can do. You can’t tell the person, ‘Oh, please smile again. Do that gesture again.’ Life is once, forever and new all the time.” – Henri Cartier-Bresson

—Alternative approach to wedding photography

It’s an alternative approach where the big emotions are captured with warmth, humour and wit; and where the ordinary moments are treated exactly the same.  It’s the moments you miss, that you’ll miss.

—It’s all about the moments

The emotions; The here and now; The people – their connections and relationships.  Details and decorations set the scene but the most precious memories are created you and your loved ones.

—Seeing beyond the obvious

I look for inklings of humour, for irony, the subtle – those teeny moments that help weave those grand occasions into the fabric of your wedding day.

—Photography that’s timeless and relevant

In this day and age of Photoshopped fakery and wedding blogs telling you what you should be wearing this season, capturing beautiful, insightful images of real authentic moments is more relevant than ever.
